Blended Conference 2013

I attended my first ever blogging conference last Saturday here in Arizona. I think that officially qualifies me as a real blogger now…..maybe?!?! 🙂 Blended Conference 2013 was great. I went with TJ from Sweet Sugar Blossoms who is incredible and my dearest friend on and off the blogging scene. She’s “got my back” all the time, you know ?!?!? Everyone needs a friend like that! Who better than her to attend my first conference with? The conference was put on by the 2 Wendy’s. Wendy from Around my Family Table and Wendy from Choosing Love. There were many great speakers, including Maureen Fitzgerald from Wisconsin Mommy, Christine Pittman from Cook the Story, Kimberly Sneed from A Night Owl Blog, Nicole White from Foodie Misadventures, and Ariana Ziskin from Aris Menu. I learned tons about Pinterest, Instagram, video blogging, and working with brands.

We ate yummy food, chatted with sponsors and met lots of new friends. In fact I met Melanie from The Inspiration Network, and she has since invited me and TJ both to be monthly contributors on her site!

Yay! I am so excited, the line up of monthly contributors is amazing, you should head on over there and check out all the talent! I am flattered to be included with such great bloggers and will let you know when my first post goes live.

Of course while at the conference TJ and I got a little crazy with the photo props. Not only does a girl need a friend who has got her back, but also one that will be foolish and stupid with you. I love to have fun and laugh, and be crazy and sometimes childish 🙂 I love that TJ is the same. Sometimes you gotta just let your freak flag fly, ya know?!?
