Easy Fabric Organization
Fabric, yum. I can spend hours in the fabric section at the craft store touching and admiring bolts of fabric. They are so pretty, the possibilities of things you could make with them, endless. In my craft room I wanted a storage solution for my fabric that would make it both easy to access and see what I have, and be pretty to look at. I have seen similar tutorials in the blog world, here is how I did it. Continue reading

Tip to Organize Your Closet
I have had a really hard time lately with holding on to pieces of clothing that JUST NEED to GO! I need to get rid of them, they don’t fit, I don’t wear them, they are out of style, etc. BUT…..I can’t do it! Why am I so attached to my clothing? Anyone else have this problem? I am trying to tell myself it is ok to get rid of things. That having clothes in my closet every day that do not fit does not make me feel good about myself. It is hard to throw out clothes, even ones I am not wearing anymore. I continue to say in my head, “maybe I will wear it again” “I might fit into that again someday” “maybe this will come back in style”! Agh!! I just need some HELP!. Upright Piano Moving Tip
I am writing this post today from a place of TOTAL EXCITEMENT!!!! EEEEEK!!! My uber talented friend Marcy who painted my Chevron Patterned Wall in my craft room is now going to paint my piano!!! Should I use a few more exclamation marks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is how stoked I am about it!!! Now just to get it moved from my house to hers!
I have wanted to paint my piano ever since I got it 8 years ago but I am by no means an excellent furniture re-doer person and since it is my PIANO we are talking about here and not just a dresser I bought on craigslist I never had the guts to do it.
Enter Marcy, unlike me is so talented at furniture re-do’s, check out her site, she is amazing. So after paint was decided and dates were chosen I just had to figure out how to get it to her. Continue reading

Southwest Salad
I love summertime and it’s sunshine! I love that I get so much time to spend with family and friends. I love that summer brings opportunities for lots of bbq’s and pool parties and tons of good food!
I also really LOVE a good salad! When I say “good” salad, I mean one LOADED with all kinds of yummy ingredients. I like it super filling and topped with a delicious dressing. This Southwest Salad fills all of these requirements, plus it makes a lot so I can eat it for a few meals, or serve it up to a large group. It is also great because I don’t have to turn on the oven to prepare dinner! This is major, I try to cook things in the summertime that do not require the oven, no way do I need that extra heat in my house! I know you feel me on this!
