Now that school is over we are all a little older and a little wiser. Some of us are taller. We have added scars and allergy medications. We have made new friends and developed new talents. Our hairstyles have changed and so have our shoe and clothing sizes.

Tips on Cutting Vegetables
I don’t know about you but I for one did not pay enough attention when I was younger and lived in my mom’s house and could have benefited from her vast stores of knowledge. I am sure there was a time she taught me (or tried to teach me) the best way to cut vegetables or grill meat, or make my bed, iron a shirt….the list really could probably go on forever! If you are anything like me you have had to teach yourself these things throughout your years living on your own, and yes…sometimes I do still call my mom for various household tips and advice.
These 2 tips on cutting vegetables are my favorite. Probably because I eat salads a lot and lettuce and tomato are staple ingredients to any salad I make.

{Not Your Mom’s} 7 Layer Dip
What it is about dip…..specifically 7 Layer Dip in this case? I love chips and dip, love, love, love them. THIS 7 layer dip is by far my favorite though. Just look at it, all those layers mixed together to create yummy goodness. Perhaps one of the reasons I adore this dip is because you can customize each bite. You just dip your chip in and you can choose what to scoop up! Imagine the possibilities! One bite could be beans and cheese, the next sour cream and tomatoes, then guacamole and black olives…each bite different and delicious. Yum, love the variety in each mouthful!
Why is THIS particular 7 layer dip my favorite you ask? Well… (drumroll please) it has some oh so special ingredients that you don’t find in other 7 layer dips.

Teacher Appreciation with Free Printable
I know that teacher appreciation week is over, but the end of the school year is fast approaching and I always like giving my girls’ teachers something really special to thank them for teaching my child all year long. This year we have been particularly lucky because not only did my girls get great teachers, but their teachers have loved them and taught them so much and taken special efforts to really make a difference in my kids lives. I love, love, love them for it and wanted to do something great to tell them how much their efforts have meant to me. The way to win this momma’s heart is to love her kids. These teachers this year have definitely won my heart! I want to thank them for wrapping my kids up with love and lots of learning.
This project is quick and easy… and with the free printable you can do it on the cheap. I came up with two different possibilities, one that cost me next to nothing, and one that I chose to be a little bit spendier on as I added a gift card. But how much you spend or don’t spend is totally up to you! Your imagination is the limit on this one!

Teacher Gift
I know that I have posted several teacher appreciation posts lately, and I can’t promise that this will be the last one! {wink} We just have quite a few awesome teachers this year that deserve lots of great thanks! It is almost the end of the school year, just 6 more school days left, and I like to give a teacher gift to them at the end of the year in addition to what I gave them during teacher appreciation week.
