Crispy Treats, an Easter Dessert Recipe
Easter Dessert Recipe for kids and adults alike!
This Easter Dessert Recipe is fun and easy to make with your family. I absolutely LOVE Crispy Treats, Easter dessert recipes, egg shaped goodies, and most of all CHOCOLATE!
This recipe meets them all up up together to form one amazing goody; let’s just say YUM! If you want to make some Easter Egg Crispy Treats here’s how:
First, use your favorite recipe to make a batch of Rice Krispie Treats.
It is important to use greasy hands to shape the eggs or they’ll stick to you and not the egg.
Press the cereal mixture into flip top eggs sprayed with cooking spray.
After forming the eggs place them onto your wax paper to cool. Depending on how delicious and gooey your recipe is you may need to let them cool a bit in the egg to take shape before this step.
In a saucepan melt 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips and 5 Tablespoons of shortening.
You can use semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate. I like the milk chocolate ones, they are SWEETER!
Stir the chocolate mixture over medium-low heat until smooth. Who even needs the eggs with all this chocolate?! Yum!
Pick up your cooled Easter egg dessert and dip the bottom portion into the chocolate.
Dip them as far as you like, personally, the more chocolate the merrier.
If you want, you can then roll the chocolate covered portion of the egg in sprinkles, small candies, or anything else you want.
What other things will you roll your Easter Egg Desserts in?
Now, not only is your egg yummy, but adorably cute. These are super great for Easter. My kids had fun helping me make them and we all had fun eating them!
