PTA Membership Drive
I spend SO much of my time every day of the week working in my role as PTSA president for my daughters’ school. I LOVE their elementary school. I LOVE the principal, I LOVE the teachers and staff members, I LOVE the campus and the atmosphere they have created for all the students there. I LOVE it so much that I volunteer my life away just trying tohelp keep it an awesome place and provide fun activities, resources, and quality education for my kids and all the other 750 students. I LOVE being involved in the PTA, it is sometimes stressful but it is awesome and rewarding.
But…because it is so time consuming, it leaves me with less time in my life to blog, and be a homemaker. I have really had to prioritize my Continue reading

Happy Belated Halloween
Happy belated Halloween! Ok, let’s face it, Halloween is NOT my favorite holiday. I am not saying that I am a Halloween grinch….just that it isn’t my favorite. I don’t like to carve pumpkins, WHAT you say?? Yes, it is not my thing. I don’t like the mess, I don’t like that they rot in a few days. My kids will probably be scarred for life since I deprive them of this experience year after year. I avoid pumpkin carving like the plague. This year I dodged the bullet by handing my girls colored sharpies and letting them draw faces on their pumpkins…..mom of the year right?!? This is a serious confession Continue reading

Sunday Feel Good Moment
Today I was cruising around some other bloggers sites as I like to do. I love to read and look at what other great bloggers are doing. It gives me motivations, ideas, and reminds me why I started my own blog. This afternoon I stumbled upon a blog I haven’t read before The Mom Creative. I got sucked in….have you ever had that happen to you? I started looking at this cute blog layout and design and analyzing the things I liked about it, then I started to read the content and 30 minutes later I found myself still there clicking around. Jessica of the Mom Creative, in my opinion, has hit blogging on the head and I love it!
I want to share a video that I watched on her blog. It uplifted me today. It made me teary eyed. It made me believe in humanity. It made me want to be a better person and help others to be better. This video is all about a fantastic program, I hope you take the time to watch it, and that it gives you a Sunday feel good moment. It sure did for me. Thanks for sharing Jessica. If you have time you should definitely check out her site, but make sure you have some time because you might get stuck there for awhile! LOL!

Craft Room Organization
Organizing is one of my favorite things. I know….you are probably thinking I am crazy! Well, you would be right! I am a little crazy, but aren’t we all? I think that sorting and organizing, and re-arranging things so they are easier to find and more usable is super exciting. I like the process and I love the end result. I especially LOVE organizing my newly decorated craft room. I like sorting through all my fun craft trinkets. I always find things that I forgot I even had! The process of craft room organization ALWAYS inspires me to want to get my craft on and create things!!
I can talk about this topic forever, so I will spare you the forever long blog post and just highlight a few of my favorite ways to organize my craft supplies. If you have any questions about how I organized something in my craft room or how to organize something in yours, just ask!! I would be happy to share any tips or ideas I have. Not that I am an expert, but I will say it again, I LOVE TO ORGANIZE things. I should probably see someone about that!!! 🙂
My favorite way to use things is to take advantage of the space on the walls, and shelves and not only organize things but make them look pretty. Organization and decoration at the same time, beautiful and functional! Awesome! I used some open frames to hang my bakers twine. That way it wasn’t stuffed in a drawer someplace I would forget about it, or have to dig it out when I wanted to use it. Continue reading
